Tata Motors has announced that it will be releasing the Altroz iCNG on April 19. Altroz iCNG is a new car that comes with a special gas kit that helps it run on CNG fuel. It is the third model from Tata to have this feature, following the Tiago and Tigor.
Tata Altroz has a unique CNG kit that does not take up too much space in the car trunk, and it has twin cylinders with a capacity of 60 litres.
Tata Altroz iCNG Engine
Tata Altroz iCNG has an advanced system that allows it to switch between CNG and petrol fuel smoothly, without any interruptions while driving. It has a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder engine that produces 86 hp and 113 Nm of torque in petrol mode and 77 hp and 97 Nm of torque in CNG mode. It is expected to have a fuel economy similar to the Tiago and Tigor, which is 26.49km/kg.

Tata Altroz iCNG Features
Tata Altroz iCNG is packed with a lot of features that make it a comfortable and safe car to drive. It has safety features like six airbags, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX child seats, Corner Stability Control and a leakage detection feature in case of any gas leak from the twin CNG cylinders.
Just like the Tiago and Tigor CNG, the Altroz iCNG will come in three different models: XM, XZ, and XZ+. These models will have some cool features like a 7 inch touchscreen, a digital display for the driver, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a sunroof that opens with your voice, 16 inch fancy wheels, a button to start and stop the engine, air conditioning that adjusts automatically, front centre armrest, leather like seats and rear AC vents.
Tata Altroz iCNG Price
Tata Altroz iCNG is expected to be more expensive than the petrol manual version by about Rs 90,000. It will be competing with the Maruti Baleno and Toyota Glanza CNG in the premium hatchback segment.
