7 Reason Why Hyundai Verna is Better Than Honda City

Powerful Engine

New Hyundai Verna is powered by two petrol engine options – 1.5 L and 1.5 L turbo. The 1.5 L petrol engine produces 113 bhp or 144 Nm of torque and the 1.5 L Turbo petrol engine produces 158 bhp or 253 Nm of torque.

Next gen Honda City offers only one 1.5 L petrol engine that produces 119 horsepower and 145 Nm of torque. Hyundai Verna 1.5 L Turbo petrol engine is the most powerful engine in this segment.

Bigger Infotainment System

Both the Honda City and Hyundai Verna comes with advanced infotainment systems that offer a range of features and technologies to enhance your driving experience. But Hyundai Verna comes with a bigger Infotainment system as compared to Honda City.

Hyundai Verna has 10.25 inch touchscreen infotainment system while the Honda City has 8 inch touchscreen infotainment system.

More ADAS features 

Both the sedan offer Level 2 ADAS, but Hyundai Verna offers more ADAS features than Honda City. These features are available in only Hyundai Verna –

Hyundai Verna is the widest sedan in India and it measures 4,535 mm long, 1,765 mm wide, 1475 mm high and has a wheelbase of 2670 mm. On the other hand, Honda City measures  4,583 mm long, 1,748 mm wide, 1489 mm high and has a wheelbase of 2600 mm. 

Hyundai Verna is wider than Honda City by 17 mm and 70 mm of extra wheelbase  and it is more spacious. So basically, the new Hyundai Verna is expected to have more knee room for passengers in the 2nd row seat and because the car is wider than others in its class, people in both the front and back seats should have enough space for their shoulders too.

Bigger Boot Space

Hyundai Verna has a boot space of 528 litres, which is impressive for a sedan in its segment. Honda City offers a slightly smaller boot space of 506 litres, which is also quite good considering its compact size.

Futuristic Design

The Hyundai Verna boasts a sporty and futuristic appearance at the front, with a wide black-finished grille and front horizon LED lamps and daytime running lights. The grille is accented by multi LED reflector headlights situated at the corners.

Hyundai Verna is an affordable midsize sedan, Verna prices starting at Rs 10.89 lakh and goes up to Rs 17.38 lakh. The new Honda City prices start at Rs 11.55 lakh and goes up to Rs 15.97 lakh.

New Hyundai Verna base variant is almost Rs 66,000 cheaper than Honda City.
