Maruti Jimny 5 Door – May 2023

Maruti Jimny 5 Door globally debuted at the Auto Expo 2023. Jimny has gathered 25,000 bookings since January and the production of this SUV takes place at Gurugram plant. It is available in two different models – Zeta and Alpha, all with a 1.5 litre K15B petrol engine generating 105 horsepower and 134 Nm of torque.
Maruti Jimny 5 door uses rugged ladder frame chassis. Jimny all variants get 5 speed manual/4 speed torque converter and 4×4 as standard. Maruti Jimny 5 door is expected to launch in India in May 2023.
Kia Sportage – July 2023

Kia Sportage is the most popular mid size SUV in the global market. It offers two engine options – 2.0 litre petrol and 2.0 litre diesel. The 2.0 litre petrol engine pumps out 154 horsepower and 192 Nm of torque with a 6 speed automatic gearbox. And the 2.0 litre diesel engine generates 184 horsepower and 416 Nm of torque with a 8 speed automatic gearbox.
Hyundai is the sibling brand of Kia, both of them share the same platform, engine and even same dimension in Tucson or Sportage. Kia Sportage will rival the Tata Harrier, Hyundai Alcazar and Jeep Compass. Kia launches Sportage around July this year.
Nissan X-Trail – July 2023

Nissan India will add an SUV in its lineup, the Nissan X-Trail is a premium SUV that is available in 5 and 7 seater. Nissan X-Trail SUV is being tested on Indian roads and is expected to launch around the festive season this year. It will compete with the MG Hector Plus, Mahindra XUV700 and Tata Safari.
The X-Trail will be the first Nissan car in India with e-Power hybrid technology. It comes in two versions – a mild hybrid and a strong hybrid with the AWD drivetrain. The Indian version may have ADAS and other advanced features like the global model. Nissan X-Train is expected to launch in India in July 2023 with the expected price of 30 lakh.
Tata Altroz Racer – Third Quarter

Tata Altroz Racer first revealed in 2023 Auto Expo, it is the sportier variant of Tata Altroz that comes with a 1.2 litre turbo petrol engine which produces 118 bhp of power and 170 Nm of torque, it is paired with 6 speed manual transmission and 6 speed DCA transmission.
Tata Altroz Racer comes with a larger 10.25 inch infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, electric sunroof, cruise control, ventilated seats and air purifier. Altroz Racer will be a direct rival to the Hyundai i20 N Line. Tata has not yet confirmed the launch date of Altroz Racer but It is expected to launch in the third quarter.
MG Comet EV – April 2023

MG Comet is a new electric small urban vehicle, has been spotted testing on the roads of Gurugram, India. MG Comet EV is the second fully electric car in India and it is the rebadged version of Wuling Air EV. It is a 2 door car with a seating capacity of 4 passengers. This electric car might get a range of 130 km on a single charge.
MG Comet EV comes with a 10.25 inch touchscreen, which are positioned in the same way as those in a Mercedes car. MG Comet could be the perfect electric vehicle for your lifestyle. MG Comet EV is likely to be priced under 10 and may be launched in India by April 2023.
Mahindra Thar 5 Door – August 2023

Mahindra Thar 5 door will be the practical family car for SUV lovers. It is powered by the same 2.2 litre mHawk diesel engine and 2.0 litre mStallion petrol engine. Thar 5 door is fully based on ladder on frame chassis.
It’s possible that the Thar 5-door from Mahindra might come with some new features such as a larger infotainment system, additional storage compartments and a centre armrest. Furthermore, Mahindra may consider revamping the upholstery to enhance the premium feel of the SUV. Mahindra Thar 5 door competes against Maruti Jimny 5 door and it is expected to launch in August 2023.
